Workers' comp with no audit. Ever.
No-audit workers' compensation for contractors, trades, and businesses of every kind, available in all states. Know your premium up front and never get a surprise audit bill.
- No year-end payroll audit
- No surprise bill after your policy ends
- A premium you can actually budget for
- Available in all states
The audit is where businesses get burned
A traditional workers' comp premium is only an estimate. Months after the policy ends, an auditor goes through your payroll, 1099s, and subcontractor certificates. Payroll grew, a sub's certificate lapsed, or a class code got changed, and the bill shows up when the money is already spent.
With a no-audit workers' comp product, there's no year-end audit. You know what you're paying before you sign.
Traditional comp vs. Audit Free Comp
Same state-required workers' compensation coverage for your employees, without the audit at the end.
| Traditional policy | Audit Free Comp | |
|---|---|---|
| Year-end payroll audit | Required every year | None |
| Surprise bill after the policy ends | Common | No |
| Auditor reviewing your books, 1099s, and sub certificates | Yes | No |
| Subs and 1099 workers reclassified as employees at audit | A frequent source of extra premium | Not an issue |
| Premium you can budget for | An estimate until the audit | Known up front |
| Hours spent gathering paperwork | Payroll reports, tax forms, certificates | None for an audit |

From job sites to office suites
Any business with payroll gets audited on a traditional policy. Contractors feel it most: payroll that swings with the season, subs whose certificates lapse, and class codes that are easy to dispute.

Offices & storefronts
Not a fit: for-hire trucking, long-haul, and freight carriers.

Straight answers
What is a workers' comp audit?
On a traditional policy, your premium starts as an estimate based on projected payroll. After the policy ends, the carrier audits your payroll records, 1099s, and certificates, then bills you for any difference. That bill often arrives months later and can be thousands of dollars.
Is there really no audit?
Yes. On our no-audit workers' comp products there is no year-end payroll audit. Your agent will walk you through exactly how your premium is set and what the policy requires before you buy.
Who qualifies?
Most small and mid-size businesses, from contractors and manufacturers to offices and professional firms. Eligibility depends on your state, class codes, and loss history. A two-minute quote request tells us whether you fit.
I just got hit with an audit bill. Can you help?
We can't change an audit on your current carrier's policy, but we can quote a no-audit policy for your next term so it doesn't happen again. Send us the audit statement and your current declarations page.
Do you insure trucking companies?
No. We don't write for-hire trucking or long-haul auto.
Is it available in my state?
Yes. Audit Free Comp is available in all states. We work with businesses by phone and email and place coverage with carriers licensed in your state.
